| Service Provided: | Tainui Group Holdings (TGH) is an inter-generational investor owned and governed by the iwi tribe of Waikato-Tainui. Our distinctiveness is embodied in the Kiingitanga, King Movement. We are proud of our history and honour our origins of being the first iwi to sign a treaty settlement on 20 May 1995.
TGH’s primary purpose is to grow the commercial wealth and health of the iwi for the benefit of the 68 Marae and 60,000 plus tribal members who are connected to Waikato-Tainui. We seek to invest in a diverse range of assets and optimise the risk return trade off, albeit with a bias toward land, and areas we can be of direct benefit to our people. It is important for us to contribute to the wider community, to date we have invested $425 million in the Waikato region, distributed $125 million for charitable purposes, and helped to provide 3,800 jobs in the wider community. |
